Making potent use of an Aaliyah sample, Game wastes nary a line in “Let Me Know,” often pausing in between each bar so his words can be digested. He touches on everything from the spate of police killings of Black citizens to the terrorist tragedies in Orlando and France. He also questions the political system, wondering why it took President Obama so long to speak about the shooting death of Philando Castille, which was broadcast on Facebook Live, and calling both Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton cons. He points his finger inward too, alluding to Black on Black gang violence and condemning recent attacks on the police. All the while Game also reminds that the killings have extended far beyond this year.
