Shelby County Clerk Wanda Halbert is under investigation by Hamilton County DA, Coty Wamp for allegations that “constitute a willful neglect by Halbert to perform the duties of her office,”. Wamp was asked to investigate Halbert as the complaints about the county clerks office are stacking up. Shelby County Commissioner Mick Wright has officially filed a 20 page complaint against Halbert with Coty Wamp’s office. Commissioner Wright spoke on Memphis Morning News about his meeting and complaint.
