Chimneyrock Elementary was in serious heat several weeks ago with the announcement of the After School Satan Club, which will begin Wednesday.
The Satanic Temple is the organization sponsoring it and quite predictably, it was met with much outrage by parents and church-goers.
Memphis Shelby County Schools explained in a statement that all non-profit organizations seeking to use facilities after school hours are allowed equal access.
As unfortunate as it may be for opposing views, Memphis Shelby County Schools did back up the organization in a statement confirming that all non-profit organizations are allowed equal access as any other to use their facilities after regular school hours.
