Legendary college football coach, Nick Saban, has officially announced his retirement.
Saban has won a total of seven national championship titles, six of which were with Alabama and one in his time with LSU.
He just finished his 17th season as the Crimson Tide’s head coach. His final season consisted of him losing in the College Football Playoff semifinal to Michigan, the eventual national champions.
During his 28-year run as a head coach in college football, he has tallied up a total of seven national championships, 19 bowl game wins and 12 conference championships, 11 of which were in the SEC.
He is finishing his coaching career with a 292-71-1 overall record, placing him sixth all-time in Division-1 college football.
There has been much speculation now of who will replace him. Some of the biggest names circulating the head coaching job vacancy are Lane Kiffin, Dan Lanning, Dabo Swinney, and Mike Norvell.
