A boil water advisory has been announced for all MLGW customers due to low water pressure. On Thursday, they announced the advisory for only a portion of Shelby County customers.
Water system leaks have been the root of the issue, resulting in low pressure throughout.
At least one minute is recommended for water to be boiled and in some cases, people are having to resort to boiling snow due to no running water.
This comes right after MLGW advised customers to limit their water usage for only essential reasons.
