A jailer delivering food in the Memphis downtown jail, known as “201” for its address, was attacked by an inmate. Report states that the inmate said to the jailer, “I’ve got something for you” and “I’m going to kill you” before the attack. According to the avadavat he pulled the object out and attempted to slash and stab the deputy jailer. The jailer was treated for a stab wound to his left shoulder.
Adrian Maclin, 28 is facing multiple cases currently in process for aggravated assault and a felon in possession of a firearm. He is now charged with criminal attempt of 1st degree murder and possession of contraband for bringing the sharp metal object into the jail.
