After passing it’s second consideration, SB2636 says – Beer – As introduced, prohibits a beer permittee from selling at retail refrigerated or cold beer. That means no more beer caves at your favorite retailer. Cold beer would not be allowed to be sold at by the permittee. The purpose of the introduction of the bill appears to be part of a plan to stop those who pop open a cold one on the way home from the retailer. Retailers, local craft brewery’s and beer distributers worry they would ultimately pay a price in reduction of sales.
