American Airlines just got a little more expensive and flyers can now expect to pay significantly more for their checked bags.
The price hikes are now in effect going forward.
In the past, the price to check a bag on most flights regardless of pre-pay was a flat $30 fee. Now, pre-pay bag checks have increased to $35, and $40 for those who don’t pre-pay.
If flyers have another bag to check, that price has been increased from $40 to $45.
Pets are not exempt from the price increases either as those looking to travel with in-cabin pets have been bumped from $125 to $150 per pet.
