The Mississippi boy who was arrested for public urination is back in the headlines after his mother has filed a $2 million lawsuit against the police department, city and officers.
In August 2023, the ten-year-old child was caught by police using the bathroom in a parking lot and subsequently arrested.
One of the officers involved in the arrest was let go from the department shortly after.
In a bizarre turn of events, a judge decided the consequence for the boy would be a three month probation and a book report on NBA legend Kobe Bryant, which was later all dismissed.
The mother says as a result of the incident, her son has dealt with trauma following the arrest and is confident the city of Senatobia will pay back for the damages.
