Kyle Rittenhouse has been scheduled to speak at the University of Memphis as part of his “Rittenhouse Recap” Tour for several weeks.
That was threatened Wednesday morning, the morning of the speech, when every ticketholder had to register again after their original tickets were deemed invalid.
UofM explained that the reason behind it was that several codes on the original tickets disappeared and didn’t want to risk it being the case for everyone planning to attend.
Rittenhouse has been traveling across the country and talking to students about the 2nd Amendment and his perspective on the night he shot three protestors and killed two in 2020.
Many students and Memphis citizens were enraged from the initial announcement and planned to thwart the meeting by buying up as many tickets and not show up purposefully.
Despite all of the noise, UofM has already made it clear they are not legally permitted to shut it down and Rittenhouse is still set to speak on Wednesday night.
