Folk’s Folly was the location where Mayor Paul Young was grabbed while trying to leave dinner Thursday night.
The man involved in the altercation was identified as James Banks, who was told to leave the East Memphis steakhouse after it was obvious he was under the influence of alcohol.
According to officials, Mayor Young was grabbed and Banks tried to enter the mayor’s vehicle. He was unable to do so when security grabbed him, giving Young the space to leave.
There were no reported injuries, and Banks was arrested.
