Eclipse Day is here and people across Memphis and the Mid-South are ready to witness such a unique phenomena.
Around 12:37 is when the first partial eclipse begins. A little over an hour later, at 1:58 p.m., is when watchers can expect to see the maximum eclipse, lasting all the way until 3:15 p.m.
There will be watch parties all across the city, with some even traveling out to Arkansas in clearer weather and views this afternoon.
Of course like in 2017’s eclipse, glasses specially made for the event are strongly recommended for those wanting to watch.
