O.J. Simpson, NFL Hall of Famer, Dies At 76

NFL Hall of Famer O.J Simpson passed away Wednesday in Las Vegas, he was 76.

Simpson, notorious also for the “trial of the century” during the 90s in which he was acquitted of the murder charges of his wife and her friend, had been battling prostate cancer.

Even with an illustrious 11 year career with the NFL, the death of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman in 1994 had forever shaped the reputation in many people’s eyes.

Simpson’s verified X account posted the news, typed out by his family on Thursday morning.

“On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer,” the post read. “He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.”
