Audio of the bond hearing determining Jaylen Lobley should be released of his own recognizance (ROR) after being charged with auto theft and possession of a prohibited weapon is now available.
Lobley, 18, was the suspect killed in a shootout with police last Friday. The shooting also killed MPD officer Joseph McKinney, 26.
A $10,000 bond was originally given to Lobley by judicial commissioner Mischelle Alexander-Best who determined Lobley was a high risk of not returning to court considering the nature of his crimes.
Just a couple days later he was released without bond by another commissioner, Christopher Ingram, who argued that Lobley was not a threat to the public and not a risk for non-appearance in court.
