The ongoing trial of Grizzlies’ Ja Morant and Joshua Holloway has been put to a halt. Monday morning was the scheduled trial but was suddenly canceled right before.
Holloway’s attorney’s Leslie Ballin and Rebecca Adelman filed a joint motion to withdraw as council last week.
The trial stems from the altercation between Morant and Holloway while playing pickup basketball at Morant’s house in 2022.
This all comes after Morant was ruled earlier in April by a Tennessee judge as acting in self-defense.
Holloway, then 17, filed a lawsuit in September 2022 that accused Morant of assault.
There is still no confirmation on whether or not the lawsuit will even continue.
