An officer was on the scene of a call for a prowler, when his squad car was stolen. They found it crashed on Mud Island early Friday morning.
MPD confirmed that a little after 5 a.m., the cop car was found wrecked in Mud Island about three miles from where it was stolen.
There are no reports on the suspect and if they found or apprehended him yet.
They also confirmed no firearms were taken from the vehicle.
