LOCAL | Orange Mound Mass Shooting Arrests Made, Shooter Still Not Found

Interim Police Chief CJ Davis has announced that arrests have been made following the Orange Mound mass shootings from April 20.

It was clarified, however, that the arrests are for other charges but have reason to believe that they are connected to the shooting. The shooter has not yet been found.

Shots rang out at Orange Mound Park during an unauthorized block party which led to the death of two people that Saturday afternoon.

Around 200-300 people were at the party where videos at the scene confirm there were cars doing donuts on the basketball court and multiple individuals carrying assault rifles.

The two killed were 22-year-old Chalmar Fason and 17-year-old Antonio Humphrey. The other victims at the party ranged from the ages of 16 to 29.

The city of Memphis and CrimeStoppers originally came out with a $15,000 reward leading to information on suspects involved, and now the U.S. Marshals Service has offered another $10,000 on top of the original reward topping the rewards at a total of $25,000.
