BREAKING VIDEO | Arrest Footage Of Scottie Scheffler Released

Video footage capturing the altercation and arrest of pro-golfer Scottie Scheffler has been released to the public.

The incident resulted in his arrest and charges of second-degree assault of a police officer, criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregarding traffic signals from a officer directing traffic.

It all occurred last Friday morning as Scheffler was attempting to enter Valhalla Golf Club for Round 2 of the 2024 PGA Championship.

He was allegedly ignoring an officer’s orders and the officer in question, Detective Bryan Gillis, accused him of dragging him with his car and leaving him with multiple injuries.

Scheffler was booked in jail and spent a brief time there until he was ultimately released and back at the golf course a few hours later. The charges are still pending and there is wide belief it will be dropped.

Since the incident, Officer Gillis is under fire for not having the situation recorded on his body cam, a violation of two internal policies.

Scheffler’s arraignment was originally scheduled for May 21, but has been rescheduled for June 3.
