After much destruction in Saint Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, and surrounding islands, Hurricane Beryl’s worst will be seen in Jamaica on Wednesday.
This comes after the announcement that Beryl downgraded to a Category 4, but still dangerous enough to cause major destruction with its 145 mph winds.
Andrew Holness, the Prime Minister of Jamaica, recently declared the entire country a “disaster area” and has imposed drastic safety measures such as an islandwide curfew.
A hurricane warning is now in effect for the Puerto Costa Maya to Cancun portion of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.
It is anticipated that Beryl will affect the area late on Thursday and Friday after passing though Jamaica.
