Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup, xAI, is hiring locally for a number of positions as it completes construction on its supercomputer facility in Memphis.
Eight available positions in Memphis are now listed on the company’s website, along with positions in London, England and Palo Alto, California. The page boasts, “Build AI That Advances Humanity.”
Superintendent is the highest paid position listed in Memphis, with an hourly wage range of $165–240; a 40-hour work week would yield a low-end pay estimate of $343,000.
The other positions include:
- Foreman, $135-165 per hour
- Lead Fiber Technician, $115-135 per hour
- Project Manager, $100-125 per hour
- Protective Intelligence Lead, $90,000-120,000 annually
- Security Operations Lead, $110,000-140,000 annually
- Security Technology Lead, $110,000-150,000 annually
- Superintendent, $165-240 per hour
