LOCAL | Memphis International Airport Affected By Global Technology Issues

Several US airlines halted their flights on Friday morning, which has since been lifted.

The Federal Aviation Administration stated that communication difficulties and “global technology issues” was the reason behind the cancelations.

A global technology issue has affected airlines serving @flymemphis this morning. Please check with your airline before traveling today, and plan to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your departure time. Your airline will have the most updated info on scheduling.

United, Allegiant, Delta, and American Airlines were affected, and many flyers that were planning to leave from Memphis International Airport had to readjust their flight schedules.

The halting decision has been lifted.

A third-party outage is impacting computer systems, including at United and many other organizations worldwide.
