Memphis police have found the body of a man who went missing in the Mississippi River.
On Saturday at 7 a.m., the MPD continued its search for the missing boater. A few hours into the search at 10 a.m., the body of a man matching the description was discovered and recovered.
He was identified as 47-year-old, Gary Riley Jr.
This all occurred after bystanders recalled voices shouting in the river Friday morning asking for help. Rescuers were able to recover one man, who will make a full recovery, but were unable to find Riley Jr.
MPD is now looking into what led their boat to sink in the early morning hours.
