GRIZZLIES | Sharpshooter Luke Kennard Re-Signs On One Year Deal

Sharpshooter guard Luke Kennard is returning to the Memphis Grizzlies on a new deal. The Grizzlies and Kennard reached an agreement on an $11 million/one-year contract.

With this move, the Grizzlies have officially filled in their final roster spot.

Last season, Kennard averaged 11 points per game while shooting 45% from three-point range in the 39 games he was available. A former Duke star, he will be entering his ninth year in the NBA after being drafted by the Detroit Pistons in 2017.

Kennard helps solidify a Grizzlies team who finished 2nd in the Western Conference in 2023, but came short of making the playoffs in 2024 due to many injuries across the roster.

He was acquired via trade from the Los Angeles Clippers midway through the 2022-2023 season.
