A man from Lakeland had his $80,000 sports car stolen from the airport garage during a brief business trip out of the state.
The owner of a 2017 Corvette Grand Sport said that after leaving his vehicle parked on the fifth floor of the airport’s economy lot on July 31, it was gone five days later.
The parking spot it was left in was then taken by another car with glass on the concrete ground.
He claimed that on Saturday night, a car thief was seen driving the vehicle out of the parking deck on security cameras.
The video has not been made public by airport police, who claim it is still being looked into.
