LOCAL | Railgarten Shooter Released On His Own Recognizance

Monday marked the release from jail of the man charged with shooting four people at Railgarten in Midtown over two weeks ago. He was allowed to leave on his own recognizance.

Detawn Gunn, 30, faces five counts of attempted second-degree murder, five counts of dangerous felony possession of a firearm, and two counts of vandalism ranging from $1,000 to $2,500.

District Attorney Steve Mulroy claimed to have no control over the situation and argued for a bond of $500k.

Railgarten, on Central Avenue, is the location of the shooting on August 16. Police reports indicated that the shooting all stemmed from an argument over a parking spot.

September 3 is Detawn Gunn’s next scheduled court date.
