A popular Memphis comedy club recently closed its doors after postponing gigs and leaving people concerned over the business.
The more than ten-year Memphis mainstay, Chuckles Comedy House, announced its closure on Sunday.
On Facebook, they addressed the closure by thanking those who have visited and contributed to the business.
“For over 10 years we have made you laugh and we are proud of that,” they said on the post. “We are proud to have given this city the recognition it deserves across the comedic board to have comics WANTING to come to Memphis for our intimate audience. Unfortunately, we have to close our doors. We are grateful for Memphis and grateful to have been such a force within the community. Thank you all.”
This all follows the other surprising closures in Memphis like the Black Lodge in Crosstown, and Bishop in downtown Memphis.
