The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that Memphis rapper “BlocBoy JB” passed out at an intersection on North Germantown Tuesday morning with a gun resting on his lap and drugs in the vehicle.
James Lee Baker, 28, is being charged with possession of marijuana and being a convicted criminal in possession of a weapon.
The middle lane’s northbound traffic movement was being obstructed by BlocBoy JB’s SUV, police said. His foot was still on the brake when he was approached after several traffic cycles he slept through.
In addition, Baker is accused of obstructing a highway and operating a vehicle with a revoked license. His court appearance was Wednesday morning.
