Days before the big Vice-Presidential debate, Hurricane Helene hit the South. Joe Biden and Kamala were criticized for their indifferent responses to the disaster. Kamala initially stayed in California raising money. No one knew where Joe Biden was, usually a feat that is his alone.
FEMA set up an operation on the White House lawn so they could send a team in to see if Joe was okay.
We have escalating wars around the world, inflation and unrest at home, crime increasing and now dock workers (demanding a 77% raise) holding the country hostage with a strike. Criminal illegal migrants are flooding our cities, bringing fentanyl and running up housing prices with our tax dollar support. They are using smart phones to make sure we send them money on their EBT cards. And somehow, Dems are mad at us for pointing all this out.
Policies matter. Time and time again, the left-wing narratives and prescriptions for problems they perceive (both real and imagined) are wrong and out of touch.
That is why J.D. Vance stuck to concrete solutions in the VP debate, and Tim Walz, as billed, waltzed around the issues. He tried to make you like him with his contrived, assistant coach, folksy way. He wanted to be the “dad in plaid.” But with him being caught in apparent lies like saying he was at the Tiananmen Square protest, he came off as a gad who is sad.
Electing our president is not like electing a junior high school class president. We are not voting on who is the most popular or who we feel sorry for just to make a statement. Being president and vice president has consequences. He or she has control of nuclear weapons, not just major sway as to where the prom will be held.
Kamala and Tim’s radical left policies are core beliefs that are very much at odds with the country, and they are forced to hide them to get elected. As she tosses vapid word salads, he brandishes the unthreatening, likable, Midwestern persona. Walz is highly excitable, reminding me of the Skipper on “Gilligan’s Island.” Everyone stranded on that island pretended to like the Skipper’s goofy antics, but they all knew he got them into that mess in the first place.
Tim Walz has lied about his military service, let Minneapolis burn during the BLM riots and, most troubling to me after watching The Fall of Minneapolis documentary, gutlessly betrayed police.
When his city was allowed to be destroyed, his wife said she opened their house windows to take in the smell of burning tires. The arrogant and biased CBS debate moderators did not even ask him about this.
Walz tried to blame his lying about his military record on, as “his wife tells him, just incorrect wording.” So not only does Tim have Stolen Valor, but also, stolen grammar issues. Maybe, given his communist affections, he was not “stealing valor,” just redistributing it to himself.
The V.P. debate was more highbrow than Trump’s, more of a chess match than a World Wrestling Entertainment event. Both pandered well to independent voters in the 6 states who will decide the election.
Democrats manufacture an aura of nice (aka Joy) around themselves, but attack via their surrogates in their party and media. Walz attacked Vance early, tagging him with the pejorative “weird,” which was pure projection. Dems started a lie about J.D. Vance that he once had sex with a couch. Lies are damaging. It took years for J.D. Vance to be allowed back into a Rooms To Go furniture store.
If I were Vance’s speech writer, I would have him say: “I did not have sexual relations with that ottoman! I have never had sex with any furniture … well maybe just a one nightstand.
Vance won because, like Biden in his debate, the media had lied so blatantly it became starkly clear through the un-media-filtered lens of the truth. Vance is solid. And the nation was woefully misled on Biden’s condition.
If they are elected, the liberal policies of these two Democrats will hurt this country. Their border policy alone has caused us untold harm. The Border Patrol said that there are about 15,000 sex offenders and about 13,100 convicted murderers who have been unleashed in this country. How do Dems explain that? How about this: these illegal migrants are here to do the crimes that Americans are unwilling to do.
