LOCAL | “Mastermind” Of Young Dolph Murders To Appear In Court

The alleged “mastermind” of Memphis rapper Young Dolph’s murder arrived back in court Wednesday morning.

Hernandez Govan is accused with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and conspiracy.

According to the prosecution, he allegedly enlisted Cornelius Smith and Justin Johnson to kill Young Dolph in 2021.

Yo Gotti’s brother, Anthony Mims, also known as Big Jook, is said to have given the order for the $100,000 hit on Young Dolph, who was shot and killed outside of Makeda’s cookies on November 17, 2021.

Cornelius Smith testified that he and Justin Johnson shot Young Dolph after Govan had arranged a deal. Johnson was convicted of the killing.
