During a gunshot investigation in South Memphis, another man was discovered shot after colliding with police cars.
The incident began just after 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to Memphis Police, when units were called to a shooting near East E.H. Crump Boulevard.
They discovered a man with a gunshot wound laying in the street.
Another person in a car collided with two MPD squad cars on the site as the police were looking into the shooting, according to MPD. Since the officers were not in their cars, they were injured.
Both males were taken to Regional One Health, where the first shooting victim passed away. The status of the second man remained critical.
