LOCAL | Attempted Murder Suspect From Humboldt Arrested In Memphis After 10 Days On The Run

A suspect from Humboldt, Tennessee, who was charged with attempted first-degree murder was apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Memphis.

He has been on the run for 10 days.

37-year-old Antonio Pewitte is charged with stabbing his ex-girlfriend earlier this month outside of her job.

To find and capture Pewitte, the U.S. Marshals Service Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force was called in. U.S. Marshals were informed that the suspect was in Memphis on Tuesday morning.

In the 2200 block of Falling Oak Way, U.S. Marshals visited a home with the assistance of Shelby County Fugitive Apprehension and Memphis Police.

They safely apprehended him and took him to custody.
