LOCAL | MSCS Employee Charged With Bringing Firearm To Bolton High School

According to the MPD, a Memphis Shelby County employee was found at Bolton High School on Wednesday with a loaded firearm in his backpack.

Officers said they responded to a weapon law violation at Bolton High School, located on Brunswick Road, just before 11 a.m.

Mar Christian Calma reportedly entered the school through the metal detectors while carrying a weapon in his backpack.

Calma admitted to deputies that he forgot the gun was in the backpack.

On Thursday, he was freed from custody without posting bail.

Calma faces charges related to the possession of a weapon on school grounds. December 16th is the date of his court appearance.
