LOCAL | Liberty Bowl Announces Arkansas v. Texas Tech On December 27

The 2024 Liberty Bowl will pit Arkansas (6-6) against Texas Tech (8-4). It is the Razorbacks’ sixth appearance and the Red Raiders’ second.

The last time Texas Tech played, they defeated Mississippi State 34–7 in 2021. Arkansas, on the other hand, last played here in 2022 after defeating Kansas 55-53 in a thrilling triple overtime match.

In addition, it will be Texas Tech and Arkansas’s 38th meeting overall and their first ever in a bowl game.

The 2024 Liberty Bowl begins on December 27 at 6 p.m. CT.

AutoZone Liberty Bowl executive director Steve Ehrhart said today that the capacity at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium for the game will be 42,000.

That’s above the 33,691 for Tigers games this year and will include opening up the two sections next to the hole on the west side.
