A child was stabbed at Treadwell Middle School on Monday during a brawl over a basketball game.
The victim was sent in non-critical condition to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
According to Memphis Police, the principle and school resource officer broke up a fight while they were responding to the aggravated assault call.
At the time, a number of suspects were detained at the school.
The victim claimed that last Friday’s basketball game was the reason for the altercation. The victim informed the police he was threatened on social media because they were angry over losing a game.
A 15- year-old was charged with aggravated assault and criminal trespass, the four other minors were issued a juvenile summons.
