An overnight automobile wreck on I-240 has left four individuals, including two Memphis police officers, in the hospital.
According to MPD, two officers arrived to a hit-and-run accident shortly before 1a.m.
They were investigating a hit-and-run on site when a white Tahoe collided with their squad car. The two officers were injured from the second collision and subsequently transported to the hospital in non-critical condition.
The driver of the Tahoe was arrested and sent to Regional One Hospital, also in a non-critical condition.
During the crash investigation, all eastbound lanes of traffic on I-240 E and Poplar Avenue were closed; however, they have since been reopened.
