LOCAL | MFD Fights Four Overnight House Fires In Memphis

The Memphis Fire Department reported that four homes in Memphis caught fire on Monday night and into Tuesday morning.

MFD said the initial fire started on Staten Avenue on Monday evening. Around three hours later, at 2:30a.m., a South Memphis house caught fire.

About half an hour after the second fire, a third house on Frayser’s Thomas Street caught fire. At 6:45 a.m., firefighters finally arrived at a house fire in Binghampton.

Investigators concluded that the fourth fire was caused by arson.

Out of the four fires, there was just one recorded medical injury.
