A schedule for replacing retiring Criminal Court Judge Bill Anderson is being laid out by county officials.
According to a resolution that the county commission is considering on Monday, commissioners will select an interim judge for Anderson’s seat on February 24.
After 51 years in criminal justice and 14 years on the bench, Anderson will retire on March 1.
Local Republican lawmakers have frequently criticized Anderson for imposing low or no bail for criminal offenders.
