BREAKING | Shooting In Soulsville Area In South Memphis Leaves Two People Dead

Five people have been shot, two of which have been reported dead, in a shooting on Wednesday afternoon in South Memphis.

Police do not have information on any suspects at this time.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene while another died at a hospital, police said. Three people were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Authorities were called around 3:30p.m. to 970 College Park in the Soulsville neighborhood, and were setting up a large presence.

The incident happened near LeMoyne-Owen College, although the school indicated in an email that it did not happen on campus.

Memphis Police Chief C.J. Davis also made an appearance at the scene.
