The Sheriff’s office announced Friday morning that a corrections deputy with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is now facing charges of bribery and official misconduct.
The deputy, who graduated from the police academy in 2021, has been identified as Bianca Grandberry.
Deputies reported that on November 2024, evidence was found indicating that Grandberry was involved in a relationship with inmate Martavious Williams.
It was found that Grandberry, Williams, and their relatives had engaged in financial transactions to purchase contraband for Williams, totaling $6,400
Grandberry was removed from duty and without pay.
