A video that went viral yesterday has been rumored to be an “ICE” raid at TACOnganas, a popular Memphis taco truck business. It has not been confirmed as such, however.
The business reported on Monday that a group of covered up individuals visited their food truck on Macon Road in Cordova and removed several employees.
Camera footage inside the truck showed the men in hoodies enter the food truck from the back door.
They said that alleged “ICE” agents informed the workers that they were being held. One of the claims is that the men that visited the food truck did not present identification, badges, or an arrest warrant.
TACOnganas say they are abiding with local and federal immigration regulations and have reached out to legal aid organizations to assist the employees.
