LOCAL | $1M Bond Set For Arrested Suspect In 2021 Shooting That Left Man Paralyzed

Nearly four years after gunshots paralyzed a man, the suspect in a 2021 shooting was captured on Thursday.

Attempted first-degree murder and using a firearm while committing or attempting to commit a dangerous felony are the charges against 26-year-old Kevion Stevenson.

In April 2021, police were called to a shooting at Willow Creek Apartments. Five shots had been fired at the victim on the scene, four of them in the back and one in the arm.

In a six-person photo lineup in January 2025, the victim recognized Stevenson as the shooter who had shot him many times, leaving him paralyzed.

A $1 million bond was posted for Stevenson. Next Monday, he is expected to appear in court.
