Late Tuesday night, snow started to fall, with lesser quantities to the south and larger amounts north of Memphis.
One to three inches of snow fell over much of the Memphis-metro area. In Memphis, the official total was 1.6 inches.
Road conditions brought on by winter weather have resulted in a number of continuing wrecks around the Mid-South.
Temperatures will drop to around 10 degrees later on Wednesday night, and by Thursday morning, wind chills will be below zero. Any precipitation that remains will re-freeze overnight.
