A man is recuperating after being shot outside his home in Cordova on Sunday morning.
According to the deputies, a call was received at approximately 4:30 a.m. The victim was located outside a house on Afton Grove Road suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was promptly transported to the hospital, and his condition was confirmed as non-critical.
The shooter fled the scene and remains missing.
Although deputies have not verified a motive, residents of the neighborhood speculate that it was due to an attempted carjacking.
The investigation is still active.
