CRIME | Porsche Car Thieves Arrested

MEMPHIS, TN – On February 24, 2025, at 2:40 p.m., officers responded to a robbery where a Porsche was taken from 1875 Covington Pike. Officers were advised that the victims were unloading a Porsche in the rear parking lot when a newer model BMW stopped beside the car. The male passenger exited the BMW wearing a black mask and all-black clothing. He was armed with a gun. He took the Porsche, and both vehicles fled the scene.

Investigators recognized the BMW stolen from the Hilton Hotel at 939 Ridge Lake Boulevard on February 15, 2025.

On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., MPD VCU, ATTF, K9, Appling Farms Task Force, and Aviation, with the assistance of the Bartlett Police Department Crime Suppression Unit, located the stolen BMW at Elvis Presley Boulevard and Norris Road occupied by three individuals. The driver and both passengers. Jayden Hastings and Brianna Watkins were detained. The driver, Averion Finley, had the keys to the BMW. Officers also found him in possession of a scheduled three controlled substance. Hastings was also found with marijuana and oxycodone in his possession. A Glock with a switch was located in the vehicle, and Finley is a convicted felon.

Averion Finley, 23, was charged with Theft of Property to wit Auto: $10,000-$60,000, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell to wit: Burprenorphine and Naloxone, and Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun.

Jayden Hastings, 18, was charged with Theft of Property to wit Auto: $10,000-$60,000, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell to wit: Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell to wit: Oxycodone, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.

Brianna Watkins, 18, was charged with Theft of Property to wit Auto: $10,000-$60,000 and Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell to wit: Marijuana.
