Police are looking for a man caught on camera damaging a 76-year-old man’s SUV with an axe after an accident in East Memphis.
The unidentified victim said he was running errands with his girlfriend last Saturday morning. They were headed east on Poplar near Goodlett when he rear-ended a Chevy Impala.
The victim said he stopped his car and saw the other driver exit the Impala with an axe in his hand. That’s when the suspect began swinging an axe at his vehicle.
The car behind the victims captured the incident on video, where it went viral after being posted online.
After the man vandalized the SUV, he got in his car and left. He is now facing charges of aggravated assault.
