According to authorities, a man said his dog shot him Monday morning as he laid in bed.
The victim said that he was in bed when his dog jumped on it, and that the dog accidently pulled the trigger after his paw got caught in the trigger guard. A bullet struck the victim, grazing the top of his thigh.
According to reports, his female companion took the gun with her when she left the scene of the unintentional shooting.
The victim was transported to Regional One in non-critical condition.
