A $100,000 bond has been set for the man who is accused of throwing a dog from a bridge to its death last month.
Christopher Triplett, 18, showed up in court earlier today after being detained on Monday on suspicion of severe animal cruelty.
The event took place on February 28. A truck center security guard discovered the dog dead Monday morning after reviewing his security camera footage to see what had transpired.
Triplett was seen pulling a dog toward a pedestrian bridge in South Memphis on video taken by a local company.
When the dog tried to flee, he caught him and flung him from the bridge twice.
If found guilty, his term could range from one to six years in prison.
