Penny Hardaway, the head coach of Memphis men’s basketball, won the AAC Coach of the Year award for the first time in his career.
In his sixth season as the head coach for the Tigers, Hardaway led Memphis to its first conference regular season title in 2025, earning the program’s most regular season victories in 13 years.ther
Memphis finished the season with a 26-5 overall record and a 16-2 conference record, while also ranking No. 16 in the country.
Redshirt senior big Dain Dainja was chosen as the inaugural Newcomer of the Year, averaging 13.7 points and 7 rebounds per game.
The AAC Player of the Year was awarded to redshirt sophomore guard PJ Haggerty, with averages of 21.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
