LOCAL | Additional Charges Brought On The Man Responsible For Dead Baby Found In A Dumpster; Held On $1Million Bond

On Thursday, the man who was charged with throwing a newborn into a dumpster in January entered a not-guilty plea to five additional charges, one of which was statutory rape.

In connection with his alleged relationship with a 16-year-old girl, James Boothe Jr. was indicted on five new offenses.

This comes after he was captured on camera throwing a baby in the trash outside a gas station after the teen gave birth.

Two charges of trafficking for a commercial sex act, encouraging child prostitution, ongoing child sexual abuse, and aggravated statutory rape were brought against Boothe.

A $1 million bond is currently being used to hold him. On April 22, James Boothe is expected to return to court.
