This coming weekend, the I-55 bridge that connects Arkansas and Tennessee will close for construction.
The closure is subject to weather conditions, since rain is predicted on Sunday, according to the City of West Memphis.
At 8 p.m. on Friday, March 21, if all goes according to plan, all traffic on the “Old Bridge” will stop. By 6 a.m. next Monday, March 24, traffic should be back on the road.
The I-55 Bridge is undergoing a number of closures related to construction. In addition to performing repairs and inspections on the I-55 Bridge, crews will continue to build the I-55 and Crump interchange.Â
